Théâtre. Décès de la comédienne italienne Franca Rame, épouse de Dario Fo

L’actrice et féministe italienne Franca Rame, épouse et partenaire depuis plus d’un demi-siècle du prix Nobel de la littérature Dario Fo, est décédée mercredi à l’âge de 83 ans.
Franca Rame, née le 18 juillet 1929 dans la région de Milan, avait épousé en 1954 Dario Fo, écrivain, dramaturge et acteur, prix Nobel de la littérature en 1997.
Le couple avait mis sur pied en 1958 la compagnie théâtrale « Dario Fo et Franca Rame company » : lui était écrivain et metteur en scène, elle actrice et administratrice.
Franca Rame et Dario Fo s’étaient engagés activement dans les années 60 et 70 dans des mouvements gauchistes et féministes. Franca Rame avait été brièvement enlevée par des militants d’extrême-droite en 1973, subissant à cette occasion violences physiques et viol.
En 2006, elle avait été élue sénatrice du parti Italie des valeurs (IDV) de l’ex-juge anti-corruption Antonio Di Pietro, mais avait ensuite abandonné la chambre haute en 2008, frustrée par l’inertie du système politique italien.
